Rent is eating away at our lives:<\/p>\n

Another rent increase? Opaque operating costs? Elevator\u2019s been broken for months? Your daughter wants to move out but can\u2019t find an apartment? Landlord trying to evict you? Unhoused with no prospect of an apartment? Your second child is on the way, but your apartment is too small?<\/p>\n

For decades, politicians have actively supported the practices of corporations and landlords, and now we\u2019re left to deal with the consequences. If you\u2019ve had enough of this too, then this protest is the perfect place for you! We need to let out our frustration and anger\u2014we can\u2019t bear it alone anymore.<\/p>\n

It could be so simple: strengthen tenants\u2019 rights; don\u2019t leave housing provision to private profit; expropriate the wealthy real estate corporations; build affordable municipal housing for everyone\u2014not luxury lofts for a few rich people; end homelessness; and ban evictions for personal use.<\/p>\n

So that we can stay in our homes and neighborhoods, live safely with our neighbors without fear\u2014in a city worth living in for everyone.<\/p>\n
